TLR Payments

Loads of teachers are to have pay cuts in the next few years. Management Allowances are out; Teaching and Learning Responsibilty (TLR) Payments are in.
You can read the details on the Teachernet website.

Schools’ salary bills are expected to go down, not up, with the introduction of the new payment structure. The good news: the many teachers losing out will have their salaries safeguarded for a three year transition period. That’s ok then.

Other important points covered include Local Pay, The Excellent Teacher Scheme and the pay of science and maths advanced skill teachers. (Maths ASTs will earn a minimum of £40,000 – maybe I should move back to teaching maths.)
