Eleven dead-end pages on Wikipedia

Amaztype

Pixies

The above text was created by using images of Pixies’ album covers. Amaztype did this for me. Type in a phrase and it will display it using the covers of books, CDs or DVDs that relate to it.

Other things

I have designed two new websites ready to be launched this summer. Details coming shortly….
I have set my home page to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Randompage. Now I am learning so much, my brain hurts.

What else do I know? Essex schools are falling short in the quality of education they offer. Oh well – just do better in the future.

Gmail

I have been using Gmail for a couple of weeks or so. I am pretty impressed.

I have three spare invites left – the first three who reply to this message, with full name and email address, can have one each.

Comments will not be shown immediately, so please don’t send more than one.

Smilies

I’ve added some smilies to this website. When you leave a comment, you can add one (or more) of the following.

:blank:  :cool4:  :cheesy:  :afro:

Favorites

I am doing a big clean up on my PC at home. I thought I would share some of my old Internet Explorer Favorites. All my useful links are elsewhere as I no longer use IE as a browser. So, in the order listed:

ICA
Andy’s Anagram Solver
Sudhian Forums
Essex Schools and Sixth Form Colleges
The Bob Dylan CD & CDR Field Recordings Guide Of William J. Clinton
The Dylan Pool
BBC – On This Day
History Channel: This Day In History
The Man Who Was Thursday
Subtly Simpsons
Animal Crackers
TeacherXpress
ARCIMBOLDO, Giuseppe

Mr Payne is….

I have been asked, “Why is Mr Payne comparing apples with oranges?” I learnt this from googlism – a very useful application.

Google Calculator

Google now works as a calculator.

Google even allows you to enter your calculations as words:
four cubed plus two
two to the power of forty-two (the largest power of two before resorting to standard form)
fifteen factorial (largest word factorial)

Google likes complex numbers:
e^(pi*i) +1

Google knows the value of:
phi

Google will do conversions:
one ton in tonnes
square root of a baker’s dozen times the speed of light in parsecs per fortnight

etc.
